The Wachovia Spectrum is an indoor arena located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Comcast-Spectator, L.P. owns the arena that was inaugurated on October 19, 1967. It has been known by various names in the past such as the Spectrum, the CoreStates Spectrum and the First Union Spectrum. The Wachovia Spectrum is Philadelphia's first modern indoors sports arena. It is home to the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL), the Philadelphia Kixx (MISL) and the Philadelphia Soul. It has been a host to the NBA All-Star Game, the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, the NHL All-Star Game, the NCAA Tournament- Men's Final Four, WWF King of the Ring and the MISL Championship. The Wachovia Spectrum has also hosted performances by the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Who and the Foo Fighters.
A famous venue in Philadelphia, the Wachovia Spectrum has a total seating capacity of 18,169 people. The year 2008 will see performances by the Cure, Celtic Thunder and Playhouse Disney Live! On Tour and the Wriggles. The arena will also host the Women's Soccer Challenge.
