Even though Van Duzer Theatre is a smaller club than many, it has big bands like Taking Back Sunday once in a while. Van Duzer Theatre was originally known as The Celebrity, but Nathan Geanopulos purchased the club from Lane Prather in 1976 and changed the name. The owner used his favorite club when he was in his 20s and lived in Omaha as the inspiration for the layout of the club he owns now. Van Duzer Theatre has become one of the most preferred dive clubs around the metropolitan area to listen to concerts and stop off for a beer.
