About St. Pete Times Forum
The St. Pete Times Forum was opened in 1996 as the Ice Palace and it was built as a new home for the Lightning. Upon the completion of the arena, the Lightning and the Tampa Bay Storm made it their home since then. The arena is highlighted with state-of-the-art technology and innovative design that has helped to make the St. Pete Times Forum as one of the finest facilities in North America. The innovative design of the beautiful premises of St. Pete Times Forum provides a seating capacity of 19,758 seats for NHL games, while for a Basketball game it is 20,500 seats and up to 21,500 people can seat comfortably for concerts and center stage events. Medallions Food Services that is a preeminent organization in the food service industry, is the official concessionaire of the St. Pete Times Forum. The St. Pete Times Forum also has 80 luxury suites with 28 on the lower level and 52 on the upper level.
The St. Pete Times Forum will be the host to some of the upcoming events such as first two round games of the 2008 NCAA men's basketball tournament, 2008 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four, 2009 Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Tournament along with 2012 NCAA Hockey Frozen Four.
