Scotiabank Place is located in Ontario, Canada and is the home to the NHL's Ottawa Senators. On January 19 2006, the arena was officially named as The Scotiabank Place after a 15-year naming agreement with the Canadian bank Scotiabank on January 11th 2006.
The Scotiabank Place, Ontario opened on January 15th 2006 with a special performance of the famed Canadian rock star Bryan Adams. The first NHL game that took place at the arena two days after Bryan Adam's concert, saw the Montreal Canadiens defeating the Senators with a score of 3-0. On April 6th 2003, the famous Juno Awards honoring the best of the musicians were held at he The Scotiabank Place, Ontario. Shania Twain hosted this event.
On June 2nd 2007, The Scotiabank Place, Ontario hosted its maiden Stanley Cup Finals match, in which the host (Ottawa Senators) defeated the Anaheim Ducks with a score of 5-3. This final match was a full house match with a complete attendance of 20,500 fans. It was the biggest crowd gathering in the arena's history.
