The Qualcomm Stadium is located in San Diego, California. It was formerly known as the San Diego Stadium and prior to that as the Jack Murphy Stadium. The City of San Diego owns and operates the stadium that was inaugurated in the year 1967. It is home to the San Diego Chargers of the NFL and the San Diego State University Aztecs college football team. The stadium has also been a host to some musical events besides the various games.

The San Diego Chargers played their first game at the stadium on August 20, 1967. The stadium has been a host to the Super Bowl XXII in 1988, the Super Bowl XXXII in 1998, and the Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003. It has also hosted the Major League Baseball All-Star Games in 1978 and 1992, the National League Division Series in 1996 and 1998, the National League Championship Series in 1984 and 1998 and the World Series in 1984 and 1998.
The Qualcomm Stadium has a seating capacity of around 70,000 people. In the year 2008, the stadium will host a number of events that includes games between the San Diego Chargers and teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, the Seattle Seahawks, the Carolina Panthers and the New York Jets, besides being host to the X-Fest and performances by James Blunt.
