The Pantages Theatre is located in Hollywood CA and it one of the most historic theaters in the Los Angeles area. It was originally built in 1930 as a venue for both movies and live entertainment. It was named after Alexander Pantages and designed by B. Marcus Priteca.

In it's long history the Pantages has been home vaudevillian production, 1st run movies, and today major musical productions. For a time in the 50's the Academy Award were held here and Howard Hughes even had his personal offices here.
The Pantages Theatre has had some of the most popular musical productions in the country come through it. The short list includes Damn Yankees, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!,Sweet Charity and currently Wicked.
Wicked's run at the Pantages began in late 2006 and is scheduled to run late into 2008. The response to this show has been incredible and the run is expected to continue into 2009 at least. The production of Wicked at the Pantages has the reputation of being one of the best in the country and fits perfectly with the Art Deco design of the theater.
