The Nationwide Arena is a multi-purpose venue in Columbus, Ohio. This sports and entertainment arena was inaugurated in the year 2000. The arena is home to the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets. It was also home to the National Lacrosse League's Columbus Landsharks from 2001-03.

The Nationwide Arena hosted the first regular season game between the Blue Jackets and the Chicago Blackhawks on October 7, 2000. Some other notable games at the arena include the final of the WWE King of the Ring tournament in 2002 and the last WWE Bad Blood in 2004, the UFC 68 mixed martial arts event in 2007 and the first and second round games of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament in 2004 and 2007. The Nationwide Arena hosted the first musical event in the year 2000 that featured Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. In September 2007, Genesis performed at the venue as part of their 'Turn It On Again' tour.
The Nationwide Arena has a seating capacity of around 18,500 people for hockey matches, 19,500 people for basketball games and 20,000 people for concerts. This arena in Columbus will host some important events in the year 2008 that include performances by the Police with Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Yes and Jonas Brothers, besides games between the Columbus Destroyers and the Dallas Desperados, the New York Dragons and the Georgia Force.
