Even though Kaue is a less established locale, it has heavily-publicized groups like The Offspring now and then. Smaller groups from the county perform at the site regularly, most days of the week. Kaue has scheduled concerts or groups most of the time throughout the week, but they also have open mic nights on Tuesday.

Originally known as The Paddle, the bar changed its name to Kaue when Randall Francoeur took over ownership in the '70s. The owner had always desired to own a club like the bar he hung out the most at while he was a student at at the University of Iowa. Kaue has since established itself as one of the most welcoming neighborhood clubs locally for concerts as well as to get a beer.

Sometimes Kaue will have big bands and the tickets will not last very long. is assured to have an inventory of seats to choose from to those concerts, no matter how sold out the tickets might be.
