Gershwin Theatre is located in the heart of Broad Way in New York city. It was constructed in 1972 and opened as the Uris Theatre. It was renamed the Gershwin Theatre (after George Gershwin) in 1983. It has been the home to a number of incredible shows such as Annie, Show Boat, Raffi and Riverdance.

Since 2003 this theater has been home to the New York production of the show Wicked. The current run is the longest single run of any show for the Gershwin in the last 30 years.
Being located in the middle of the Broadway Theater district this is a great place to see a show. The surrounding area has a huge selection of bars and restaurants to choose from and some of the best shopping in the world is only a short cab drive away.
