About Fillmore Auditorium - Colorado
The Fillmore Auditorium has a colorful history. The building opened in 1907 as a skating rink and has seen a lot of changes across the years. It has served as a main destination for hosting a number of different functions over the decades. In 1969, Stuart Green bought the auditorium, with the sole intention of emulating Bill Graham’s Fillmore. At one point of time, it was even known as the Mammoth Gardens. The Fillmore Auditorium has hosted such powerful shows like The Who and The Grateful Dead. However, it was closed in October 1970. By the 1990s, it started its operation as the Mammoth Events Center that began to host a mix of public and private functions. Finally, under the new ownership, it was renovated and reopened as The Fillmore Auditorium in 1999.
After its renovation, the Fillmore Auditorium has undergone many changes and has added many more facilities to keep it ahead of time. With the state-of-the-art facilities, the Fillmore Auditorium has been the popular destination for hosting various sporting and entertainment events in and around Colorado, United States.
