The Fabulous Fox Theater or 'The Fox' is located in St. Louis, Missouri. C. Howard Crane designed the theater that opened in 1929 as a movie palace to screen silent movies. William Fox was the owner of the theater then but later the Fox Associates purchased it and carried on some renovation works.

The Fabulous Fox Theater reopened after the renovation work with the musical “Barnum.” The theater has been witnessing some great stage shows, movie premieres and special events since it’s opening. Some of the movies that had their world premiere at the theater include St. Louis Blues, The Spirit of St. Louis, The Trouble With Angels, Sincerely Yours and The French Line. Besides the movies, the theater has been a host to musical groups such as the Spike Jones Band, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention and the Grateful Dead. It has also seen performances by Eddie Peabody, Paul Whiteman, Benny Goodman, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Linda Elder.
The Fabulous Fox Theater has provided St. Louis with some great entertaining events. With a seating capacity of 4,278 people and another 234 in the private Fox Club, the theater is famous all over the world. The year 2008 will host performances by Jersey Boys, Sheryl Crow, Erykah Badu, Willie Nelson with James Hunter and Robert Plant & Alison Krauss.
