Chester Fritz Auditorium has more of a basement bar feel to it, but once in a while it has heavily-publicized bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers. Principally, the site will have smaller bands from around town perform each weekend. Chester Fritz Auditorium was originally known as The Query, but Gary Oswalt purchased the club from Vito Klinger in 1962 and changed the name. The owner used his favorite bar while he grew up in Omaha as the inspiration for the design of the club he owns now. Chester Fritz Auditorium has always been one of the most welcoming neighborhood bars around the metropolitan area for concerts.
