About Cactus Cafe
Even though Cactus Cafe has more of a neighborhood bar feel to it, it has well-known groups like Coldplay on occasion. Any given weekend, normally, bands from around the city will play at the club. Cactus Cafe was originally known as The Paddle, but Rob Nassau purchased the club from Rick Hart in 1979 and changed the name. The owner had always desired to operate a club similar to his favorite club while he was in his mid-20s and abided in San Antonio. Cactus Cafe eventually became the trendiest club around the metropolitan area to relax with a drink as well as for concerts.
