5th Street Beach Stage was originally known as The Diva, but Bob Teisberg purchased the club from Rick Harkenreader in 1965 and changed the name. The owner had always wanted to run a bar resembling his favorite club when he studied for his undergraduate degree at at George Washington University. 5th Street Beach Stage has since established itself as one of the most popular dive clubs around the metropolitan area to listen to concerts and relax with a beer.
