Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band inaugurated the Staples Center with their performance. The arena has been a host to the 2002 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, the 52nd NHL All-Star game, the 2004 NBA All-Star Game, the 2004 Pac-10 Basketball Finals and the WTA Tour Championships from 2002 to 2005. It also hosted the first Latin Grammy Awards in 2000, besides some World Wrestling Entertainment events such as the WrestleMania 21, the Unforgiven 2002, the Judgment Day 2004 and the No Way Out 2007.
The Staples Center is an important venue in Los Angeles and has a seating capacity of around 20,000 people. In the year 2008, the center will host concerts by Alicia Keys, Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band and Celine Dion. It will also host the WWE: World Wrestling Entertainment and the World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions.
