The Reliant Stadium hosted the first regular season football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans on September 8, 2002. In February 2003, it hosted the first rodeo at the stadium. The Reliant Stadium has a seating capacity of about 71,500 people. It is the first NFL stadium to have a retractable roof. Some of the upcoming events at the venue in the year 2008 include the Ringling Bros B&B Circus, concerts by Kenny Chesney and Monster Jam, besides games between the Houston Texas and other teams like the Denver Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens, the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
