The Progressive Field was opened in 1994 as the Jacobs Field or simply the Jake. By the year 2008, the name has been changed to the Progressive Field. It is located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

The Progressive Field is a baseball park and is the home to the Cleveland Indians. The Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex owns the park. The Cleveland Indians played their inaugural game against Seattle Mariners at the Jacobs Field on April 4, 1994. President Bill Clinton attended the ceremonial inaugural match. In the game, the Cleveland Indians defeated the Seattle Mariners.
The Progressive Field has hosted some of the major baseball series in its previous years. It hosted the World Series for the first time in 1995. In the series, the Atlanta Braves defeated the Cleveland Indians. In 1997, it again hosted the World Series, where the home team lost to the Florida Marlins. The park was also the site for the 1997 MLB All-Star Game. Apart from the baseball series, it is also an ideal site for business outing, party and various other events. The Progressive Field at Cleveland has many party suites. The field can seat up to 43,345 spectators. It also provides food and beverage services.
