The Madison Square garden that is also known as “The Garden” or simply MSG is one of the most famous arenas in the world. Artists like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen are just to name a few who have performed at Madison Square Garden. This popular venue has also hosted the Democratic National Convention, Republican National Convention, a visit by Pope John Paul II and the famous 1971 battle in which Joe Frazier defeated Muhammad Ali

The roots of the Madison Square Garden can be traced back to over 100 years, where there are facts that prove that it is the same place where North America’s first artificial ice rink in 1879 was built and the first indoor professional football game was held in 1902. The present building that is known as Madison Square Garden, was opened in 1968. The Madison Square Garden, L.P, manages it and is a subsidiary of Cablevision.
