The LaSalle Bank Theater, formerly known as the Shubert Theater is located in Chicago. It opened in the year 1906 and has been operated by the 'Broadway in Chicago' since 2000. It was closed down during the Great Depression and reopened in 1945 as the Sam Shubert Theater. It was once Chicago's tallest building and remains a beauty till today.

The LaSalle Bank Theater was the main venue of most vaudeville shows and has staged some classics like “Guys and Dolls” and “South Pacific”. The theater has seen some wonderful performances by artists like Eddie Foy, Harry Houdini, Lily Langtry, Mabel McKinley, John Lithgow, Tim Curry, Hank Azaria and Cherry Jones. The LaSalle Bank Theater has been host to pre-Broadway productions and world premiers in Chicago. The seating capacity of the theater is 2,016. The 2008 season at the LaSalle Bank Theater will see a host of “Jersey Boys” performances. The theater has become a popular destination in Chicago because of the Broadway shows.
