The Hollywood Bowl is an amphitheater in Los Angeles, California. It was opened on July 11, 1922 and is primarily used to host musical performances. The Bowl has been a host to the finest classical, pop, jazz, opera and Latin salsa and ballet performances. It is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

The Beatles were the first rock and roll band to play at the Hollywood Bowl on August 23, 1964. Some other renowned artists to have performed at the venue include Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Mickey Rooney, Ella Fitzgerald, Jimmy Buffet, Judy Collins, Billie Holiday, Elton John, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and Bob Dylan. Some other performers who have appeared at the venue include Bernstein, Sergei Koussevitzky, Zubin Mehta, Carlo Maria Giulini, Sir Simon Rattle and Esa-Pekka Salonen
The Hollywood Bowl is known as the largest natural amphitheater in the world and also features a museum and picnic areas. It has a seating capacity of around 18,000 people.
