The plot revolves around a pampered Broadway starlet who feels that he should give up the stage and get marry. Now, it’s an alarming call for the producers as they have put their money on this pal. Now they have to prevent this nuptial tie, no matter whatever it takes. Now, enters the chaperone, who is described a dizzy chorine, and the debonair groom. The play takes a huge turn, when this eager groom faces the gangsters, and the plot spins remarkably out of control.

According to James C. Taylor from the Times, This may not be a show that approaches the genius of the zany musicals it pays homage to, but it's an entertaining "This Is Spinal Tap"-esque look at the greatest 1920s song-and-dance spectacle that never was. Tony winner Sutton Foster steals the show with her number "Show Off," but it's the care of coauthor and lead actor Bob Martin that ultimately makes the whole thing play.

The creative team of this musical ride includes scenic designer David Gallo, lighting designer Ken Belington, costume designer Gregg Barnes, and sound designer Acme Sound Partners. Make up design is by Justen M. Brosnan and hair design by Josh Marquette. Orchestrations are by Larry Blank, incidental music arrangements and dance by Glen Kelly (The Producers), technical supervision by Brian Lynch and music director/vocal arrangements by Phil Reno.
