Thurgood tells of how Thurgood Marshall emerged from Baltimore’s backstreets to the United States Supreme Court and how he overcame every obstacle thrown in his way. He is probably best remembered for arguing the case called Brown v. Board of Education before the Supreme Court. He stayed positive and concentrated on maintaining the wonderful country he wished to serve and did. He was appointed to the Court by Lyndon B. Johnson in 1967. This play brings to life the words, wit, resolve and wisdom of a great American hero. This is his extraordinary story; it is a triumph of courage, for not just the man, but for the entire nation he courageously faced and was proud to serve.
