Background: Welcome to the hilarious event unlimited. That is the Pajama Game. The story is set in a mid-Western Pajama factory - Sleeptite. The drama begins when the employees of the factory demand seven-and-a-half cent an hour increase. The demand is superlative and they would take no for an answer. Thus begins the strenuous labor negotiation. Babe Williams is the lovely worker's representative who find more than her match in the handsome new manager Sid Sorokin. They get together to find ways to avoid the impending strike. But the result of their efforts overshoots and a romance develops in the most hostile environment. The stage is set and the ball has been set to roll. What unravels is a series of events that are filled with fun, humor and loads of wit.

Harry Connick, Jr. is the international recording star who is all set to make his theatrical first appearance as Sid Sorokin. He is a promising talent and something to look forward to. The musical is based on the book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell titled 7 1/2 Cents. It has got the Tony Award for Best Musical of 1955. The music is already one of the major attraction in the performance. The music and lyrics are by Richard Adler & Jerry Ross. The scores are absolutely breezy including hits as "Hey There," "Steam Heat" and "Hernando's Hideaway.
The direction and the sets are done by Kathleen Marshall. The musical direction is by David Chase. Kelli O'Hara stars as Babe Williams. O'Hara has held two starring roles on Broadway in 2005 one of which earned her a Tony nomination. The show opens in 2006 but there is already rush for tickets.
