The play focuses on three different families whose intersecting lives are amazingly influenced by the famous Ragtime era's social challenges and challengers. The story is a real convergence reality and historic figures. This great musical is a superb convergence of the unique talents of a very talented creative team; to really realize their superb musical and visual vision. It has been really edited and thoroughly rearranged much of Doctorow’s popular text. The book provides many faithful and multiple themes. The show really gets off to a superb rousing start with an incredible and full-bodied prologue that amazingly introduces all the so called human and superb musical elements of the fast changing American landscape. The play is exquisitely directed by well known director Frank Galati and elegantly choreographed by famous Graciela Daniele. This great show takes a huge turn when the little boy rushes on the stage as the huge stereopticon amazingly suspended from the stage ceiling is raised. And that’s how the audiences are introduced to the characters. Lynn Ahren's soothing lyrics describe this superb and untroubled existence.

The play is based on the book by Terrence McNally. The play is smoothly directed by Frank Galati with handful contribution from Brian Stokes Mitchell, Peter Friedman, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Mark Jacoby and Judy Kaye. The well adapted choreography is contributed by Graciela Danielle. Ragtime the Musical is headed back to the Broadway Stage after a short revival in Washington, D.C. at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Marcia Milgrom Dodge, who acted as director and choreographer for the D.C. revival, is bringing her rendition to the Neil Simon Theatre. Some of the cast is expected to come with here after the rave reviews they received in the nation’s capital.

Ragtime tickets will be available starting August 15 for the previews, which begin October 23, and the official opening, which is on November 15.
