Perfect Crime is absolutely implausible, but that is why how it has become the longest-running non-musical play in New York. Its also the longest running non-musical play in New York's theatrical history, on or Off-Broadway. To add to that its a show that is hard to find tickets for. Its history is a history of frequently sold out performances. Perfect Crime was originally adapted for the Broadway in 1980. The performance was written and directed by Warren Manzi, a young lad of 25 then. That is when he became the youngest American in history to have his play optioned for Broadway. But he did nor get along very well with the producer and came to LA to write screenplays. Most famously for Clue.
