About Hubbard Street Dance

History: Dancer and choreographer Lou Conte started the HSDC way back in 1977. Initially he was the only choreographer the company had, and he was able to forge relationships with rising and world-renowned choreographers as the company began to grow. New bodies of work by a variety of artists were added, including Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Margo Sappington, Daniel Ezralow and Twyla Tharp. European choreographers Jiri´ Kylia´n and Nacho Duato too became a part of the company.
