The team won several trophies in the 1980s like the FA Cup twice, FA Community Shield and the UEFA Cup 1983-84, and they are the current Football League Cup holders, beating Chelsea 2-1 in extra time, which means that Tottenham have won a trophy in each of the last six decades - an achievement only matched by Manchester United. The teams’ emblem is a cockerel standing upon a football. Their main rivals are their neighbours Arsenal and matches between the two teams are known as the North London derby. Tottenham started the 2007-08 season by signing the highly-rated 17 year old left sided Welsh player Gareth Bale from Southampton, and also the Irishman Robbie Keane was rewarded on May 28, 2007 with a new five year contract with the club until 2012.
