Middlesbrough Football Club are an English football club founded in 1876 in Middlesbrough, and is currently playing in the Premier League. Middlesbrough ‘s highest league finish to date was third in the 1913–14 season and have only spent two seasons outside of the Football League's top two divisions. Also they won the League Cup in 2004, their first and only major trophy. They won a major trophy after beating Bolton 2–1 in the League Cup final under manager Stev McClaren in the 2003–04 season, and that was the most successful season in the club's history. Middlesbrough reached the UEFA Cup final in Eindhoven on 27 April 2006, following two comebacks from 3–0 down, but lost 4–0 to Sevilla.
