Club Deportivo Chivas USA is a professional soccer club founded on August 2, 2004 in Carson, California and participates in Major League Soccer. They play their home games at the The Home Depot Center, sharing it with the Los Angeles Galaxy. The official colors of Chivas USA are red, white, and blue, the owner is Jorge Vergara and the coach is Predrag Radosavljevic, Preki. The Chivas USA achieved remarkable success in just three seasons in MLS and they finished first in the Western Conference, qualifying for the playoffs for the second year in a row to the delight of its passionate supporters in 2007.

Hans Westerhof was named Chivas USA's second head coach on June 3, 2005 and after a disappointing season, he did not return to coach the team in 2006. Hans Westerhof was replaced with Bob Bradley on November 23, 2005 and the 2006 season saw a major turnaround for Chivas USA, finishing the 2006 season with a 10-9-13 record and also they earned a spot in the Western Conference playoffs. Later Bradley was named MLS Coach of the Year and became the first two-time winner of the award. Under Coach Preki, the team’s third season was the most successful to date and he was named MLS Coach of the Year for 2007.
