The New England Revolution is a professional soccer club formed in 1995 in Foxborough, Massachusetts, that participates in Major League Soccer. Their owner is Robert Kraft who also owns the New England Patriots of the NFL. The name "Revolution" refers to the New England region's involvement in the American Revolution and they are nicknamed the Revs. The team colors are navy blue and red and the coach is Steve Nicol. During the 1996 through 2001 seasons, their home games were played at the adjacent and now-demolished Foxboro Stadium and now they play at the 68,756 capacity Gillete Stadium.

About New England Revolution
They are the only MLS team to have every league game in its history televised. The teams’ first game was played at the Tampa Stadium on April 13, 1996, against the Tampa Bay Mutiny. The Revs had never won a major trophy in MLS in their 13 year history, until their 3-2 victory over FC Dallas in the 2007 US Open Cup and they were one of three teams in MLS that date back further than 2005 to have not won one of the three major titles in MLS. The Red Bull New York are considered to be their rivals, although in recent years they have built rivalries with the MLS champions Houston Dynamo and fellow Eastern Conference teams DC United and Chicago Fire, and their supporter's clubs are called the Midnight Riders and Rev Army.
