Although still young, this course will present a challenge fore every skill level of golfers out there willing to give it a try. About Kiwi Challenge

The Kiwi Challenge is upcoming in November 11 and 12, 2009, and is going to be played on the awesome Cape Kidnappers course. The Kiwi Challenge this year will consist of two rounds of stroke play. The first round will be the course Cape Kidnappers played through and the second round will be Cape Kidnappers played through once again.

The Cape Kidnappers course was designed by Tom Doak, a legend in golf course architectural design. The course was designed to be a tough challenge for even the champions and at the same time to instill in players an appreciation for the New Zealand countryside. The rolling hills and slopes on Cape Kidnappers looks as though they were painted against the landscape of sky. One signature of this course is the 14th, 15th, and the16thgreens lie parallel to one another against the edge of the sea and some of the cliffs have a 600 foot drop to the water and craggy shores of the sea.

Similar to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in that this tournament has only four players, the Kiwi Challenge in 2008 consisted of a lot of hiking and walking to get from one hole to the next, adding to the whole concept of 'challenge'. Hunter Mahan, Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas, and Sean O' Hair are the four players who are taking on the Cape Kidnappers Kiwi Challenge this year. The Kiwi Challenge's second round was played on Kauri course in 2008 and Hunter mahan played in it as well as winning first place against Anthony Kim, Adam Scott, and Brandt Snedeker. The top purse is $1 million dollars for the first place winner with lesser amounts going to second, third, and fourth place players..

The Kiwi Challenge is a part of the PGA Tours Challenge Series and will be always be one of the toughest tournaments of all. The Kiwi Challenge produces champions and the champions will always appreciate the lessons taught by New Zealand's Cape Kidnappers course. Being part of one the PGA's Tours means that the Kiwi Challenge has attracted the best in golf and no less than that. If you are interested in witnessing golf at its very best and at the same time see a part of the world that is a slice of paradise, make plans to go to the countryside of New Zealand for the Kiwi Challenge.
