About The Nashville Predators

The highlight of the 2001-02 season for the Predators was recording their 100th victory on December 6th 2001. This made the team the second fastest expansion team of the 1990’s to get to the 100 win level. Unfortunately the team was unlucky during the overtime, finishing with a 28-41-13-0 record that earned them the 15th place in the West. This made Nashville Predators ticket holders very proud.

In the 2008-09 season, fans had little faith in the Predators because the team hadn’t found themselves a place in the playoffs – this continued into the last week of the season. The team finished with 88 points, putting them in the 10th place in the Western Conference championships, missing the playoffs for the first time in five years. Nashville Predators ticket holding fans believe that this team will do better next season.

The Predators might not be NHL’s most successful franchise but they sure have dedicated fans. The Nashville Predators’ ticket holding fans have shown their huge support for their team by occasionally throwing a catfish onto the ice rink. On October 30th 2003, the Tennessean newspaper in Nashville reported the very first instance of catfish throwing. On November 13th 2003, at least four catfish were thrown onto the ice after the very first Nashville Predators’ goal.

A Nashville Predators ticket holder will be very familiar with section 303. This section, popularly referred to as “The Cellblock”, is known to be occupied by notoriously excitable fans at the Sommet Center. The group fondly refers to themselves as “the loudest section of the loudest arena in the National Hockey League.” Most of the sales from the Nashville Predators tickets are from this very supportive fan base.

It has been announced that the Nashville Predators are expected to turn a considerable profit during the 2008-09 season despite the global financial crisis. Game attendance is expected to exceed an average sale of fourteen thousand (14,000) Nashville Predators tickets for each game.
