Six playoff trips since the turn of the century would make many teams and many fans happy, but for the Philadelphia Eagles anything short of a Super Bowl will not cut it. The team has suffered through the Super Bowl age without a single victory in the big game. Every season the fans at Lincoln Financial Field expect not only Eagles playoff tickets, but also a trip to the Super Bowl.

The team has come close, with Donovan McNabb leading the 2004 Eagles to a 13-3 record, NFC East title, and trip to ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida for the Super Bowl. The Eagles were in the game until the last drive, but time constrictions, questionable decisions by the Eagles personnel, and an interception thrown by McNabb with nine seconds left ended the game at 24-21 Patriots. Since that season and that incredible game the Eagles have battled injuries and free agency as the team has struggled to provide playoff tickets for Philadelphia football fans.
The Eagles have come into 2008 with fans wondering if it was time to trade McNabb and give the team over to Kevin Kolb. The offense is led by the veteran quarterback and Brian Westbrook. While Westbrook is one of the best running backs out of the backfield, the real worry is the receivers. Reggie Brown has always been close to being a number one guy and this season he will get that chance once he returns from an injured hamstring. Until then the future of the Eagles playoff tickets relies on the pay of Kevin Curtis and Hank Baskett. The defense is great but will not last if they have to come on the field after every third and long.
