The Cleveland Browns postseason history is a glorious exercise in living in the past. The Super Bowl era has not been kind to the professional football team that did so much for the modern game of football under Paul Brown. Brown and quarterback Otto Graham dominated the 1950s, winning eight division titles and three NFL Championships. Those great years were the golden years, and the 1980s, with Kevin Mack, Bernie Kosar, and a terrific defense the franchise brought postseason hope and Browns playoff tickets home in five seasons, only to torture fans with three losses in the AFC Championship game. The years since have been marked by conflict between one Browns franchise and the city and the ushering in of another. That new Browns entity inherited the history, the fans, and the struggling ways of an expansion team after the inaugural season in 1999.

Cleveland has hope though. Hope in the form of the deep ball connection between newly anointed franchise quarterback Derek Anderson and wide receiver Braylon Edwards. It helps that Donte’ Stallworth has come to town with sure hands and that Jamal Lewis has resurrected his career here, nut it is that connection that could go years in to the future that brings fans the most hope for Browns playoff tickets to Cleveland Browns Stadium. The regular season schedule could be a fun one as the team can really put up points.
Last the season the team was just as good as giving up points. The addition of Shaun Rogers at nose tackle should help Corey Williams and Robaire Smith eat up offensive lineman and let the linebacker, led by Kamerion Wimbley do their job getting to the quarterback and finishing off the running back. The secondary has some potential with second year corner Eric Wright and free safety Sean Jones. If the other side can hold their own then the Browns could give the Dawg Pound playoff tickets to travel with them into the postseason. The team, like many other AFC North teams though. The Steelers are set, but Browns, Bengals, and Ravens all have something to prove. All have real playoff potential and all are fighting this season for a wild card spot out of the division.
