Founded in September of the year 1886, the University of Wyoming is a land-grant university that also offers outreach education in all of Wyoming. The University is located in Laramie, Wyoming and is a major venue of cultural events in Laramie. The history of the Football team can be traced back to its origin in the year 1893 when matches were held against local high schools and Front Range colleges. The home field of the Wyoming Cowboys football team, Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium is the highest Division I college football stadium in the U.S. The War Memorial Stadium was opened in the year 1950 and it has an “Artificial Turf “surface. Born on the 7th of March 1949 Joe Glenn is the 30th head coach at the University of Wyoming.
