For the 2007-2008 season, coach Kevin Stallings led the Vanderbilt Commodores, with their home games being played at the Memorial Gymnasium. The Commodores took 3rd position in the Southeastern Conference Division with a record of 10-6.
The home arena of the Vanderbilt Commodores is the Memorial Gymnasium that has a seating capacity of 14,168 seats. This venue has been the host to the 'Battle of the Boulevard' in 1990 that was a rivalry game between Lipscomb University and Belmont University. The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship have been hosted in the arena in the 1973 regional year plus 1982, 1989, 1993 and first and second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2001, 2002, and 2006, plus regional in the year 1998.
