The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes is the men's basketball team that represents the University of Tulsa. The university is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was established in the year 1894. The university's basketball team participates in the NCAA Division I games.

The Golden Hurricanes is the nickname of the university's basketball team. The team has made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, 8 NIT appearances and one CBI appearance. They won the NIT championship in the years 1981 and 2001. Besides, they have also won their only CBI appearance in the year 2008. The Golden Hurricanes have not been able to win the NCAA Tournament till date.
Many famous coaches such as Nolan Richardson, Bill Self and Tubby Smith have coached the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. The team was especially successful under the guidance of Richardson. In the year 1955, the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes made their first NCAA appearance and in the year 2000, they advanced to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. Doug Wojcik is the present coach of the team. He has been coaching the team since the year 2005.
The Reynolds Center is home to the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes men's basketball team. It was inaugurated in the year 1998 and has a seating capacity of around 8,355 people. Besides the basketball team, it is also a host to the university's volleyball team. The Tulsa team boasts of many basketball players who have gone on to play in the NBA. These include Steve Bracey, James King, Paul Pressey, Tracy Moore, Bingo Smith, Shea Seals and Michael Ruffin.
