Pioneer Pure Vision is the new sponsor for the NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A post-season college football bowl game, Las Vegas Bowl. It is an annual event that has been played at the Sam Boyd Stadium comprising of 40,000-seats. It is located in Las Vegas, Nevada and the game is being played there since 1992. About Pioneer Pure Vision Las Vegas Bowl
From 1981 to 1991, there was a game known as the California Bowl which was played in Fresno and the same was moved to Las Vegas in 1992. It was then reorganized and given a new name, Las Vegas Bowl. This was the origination of Las Vegas Bowl. It consisted of many notable games like "Fumble Rumble" and players such as Jim McMahon Seth Joyner and Randall Cunningham. With all these known names the game from 1978 to 1987, was also recognized as The Las Vegas All-Star Classic.Soon after being renamed it gained high appreciation from people who loved watching the bowl game.
The game from 1997 to 1998, held a matchup of teams that represented the Western Athletic Conference and an at-large bid, Then as the game began to be known widely it featured matchups of the teams that were the representatives of the newly formed Mountain West Conference and an at-large bid this all went from 1999 to 2000. Since 2001, the game held a matchup of teams from the Pac-10 and Mountain West conferences.
After being sponsored by the Pioneer Pure Vision, Las Vegas Bowl had become more creative in attracting the interest of its viewers. They have introduced a ''Find the Golden Football,'' which is actually a promotional activity for the game, where fans will have to search for the the golden ball carrying the “lucky ticket”.
