Armed Forces Bowl

The Armed Forces Bowl is a well-known post-season college football bowl game held annually. The game was inaugurated in 2003 as the Fort Worth Bowl. Initially it was held under the corporate sponsorship of PlainsCapital Bank. However, in 2006, Bell Helicopter Textron, a Fort Worth based company took over the sponsorship. The first game was won by Boise State on December 23, 2003 versus Boise State. Till date, the most notable game is the match in 2004, where a team playing its final year in Conference USA (Cincinnati) and a team who joined C-USA the next year (Marshall) faced each other. The present titleholder is the Utah team who defeated Tulsa on December 23, 2006 to emerge as the champion. On December 31, 2007, an important match scheduled to take place between Air Force and California will decide the champion ship team for 2007. So, if you are a die-hard lover of football matches, book your tickets as soon as possible without any delay. >> More alt
