The North Carolina Wolfpack represents the collegiate athletic teams of North Carolina State University. The NC University has 24 intercollegiate varsity sports. The Wolfpack compete in the NCAA Division 1 Tournaments and are the founding members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). They have 2 NCAA Championships, 2 Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) and four other different titles. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is considered as the archrivals of the Wolfpack.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack men's basketball team represents the North Carolina State University in the field of Basketball. Under the able leadership of head coach Sidney Lowe; they have played in the Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena (RBC Center) since the year 1990. Before moving to the RBC arena, they played at the Reynolds Coliseum for 50 years. The Wolfpack have won 2 NCAA Championships, first in 1974 under the then head coach Norm Sloan and the second championship in 1983 under the leadership of head coach Jim Valvano. They also have 10 Atlantic Coast Conference titles under their belt, along with seven Southern Conference Championships
The RBC arena is an indoor arena located in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a seating capacity of 19,722 seats for basketball games. It is the second largest arena in the ACC and the tenth largest in the NCAA.
