The Montana State Bobcats are the intercollegiate athletic teams in the Montana State University- Bozeman. The University is a member of the Big Sky Conference and the Bobcats participate in the NCAA Division I. Originally, the Bobcats were known as the Aggies. The Montana State University is located in Bozeman, Montana. This University was founded in the year 1893 and was originally known as the Agricultural College of the State of Montana. The state assembly had renamed the school as the Montana State University on July 1, 1965.

The University's football team represents it in the NCAA Division I- Football Championship Subdivision. The Bobcats started playing intercollegiate football in the year 1897. They have won a total of eleven Big Sky conference titles and one national title in their history. They play their home games at the Bobcat Stadium. Currently, head coach, Rob Ash, is coaching them. Rob had joined the team on June 11, 2007 and replaced the former coach, Mike Kramer. He had led the Bobcats with a margin of a 6-5 record in his first season as a coach.
The Bobcat Stadium is an outdoor football facility in the Montana State University that acts as the home arena for the Bobcats football team. The stadium was inaugurated in the year 1973 as the Reno H. Sales Stadium. For the year 1998 season, it was renovated and renamed as the Bobcat Stadium. It can currently seat up to 13,500 spectators.
