The sports teams of Bethune Cookman University situated in Daytona Beach, Florida, are known as the Bethune Cookman Wildcats. The University is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference since the year 1979 and participates in NCAA Division I (Football Championship Subdivision, former I-AA).

The school sponsors ten different sports that include basketball, bowling, baseball, cross country, football, track and field and volleyball. The Wildcats have 25 MEAC titles to their credit- 10 in baseball, 1 in bowling, 1 in men's cross country, 2 in women's cross country, 3 in football, 2 in women's indoor track and field, 5 in softball and 2 in women's tennis.
Larry Little, an alumnus of Bethune-Cookman and a National Football League Hall of Fame Offensive Tackle, was a standout player at Bethune-Cookman during the mid 1960s. He was also the head coach during the mid 1990s. On November 27, 1996, Alvin B. Wyatt, Sr. (B-CC alumnus) was named the ninth head football coach at Bethune-Cookman College. Under his guidance, the year 2002 was the highest winning season in BCU football history.
BCU's rivalry with Florida A&M University is considered the greatest football rivalry between two historically black colleges, attracting over 1 million fans since the year 1978.
Municipal Stadium is the home field to the Bethune Cookman College Wildcats football team. It has a seating capacity for 10,000 spectators. The stadium also hosts the AMA Flat Track motorcycle championships during the Daytona Beach Bike Week.
