The Bobcats have an interesting situation at point guard. Raymond Felton really had a strong season last year. He is a great facilitator, but his shooting is not up to par. On a team with three or four scoring options this is not an issue, but on the Bobcats it is. Nzar Mohammed and Emeka Okafor are good defenders, good rebounders, and good catching a pass off a drive for a dunk, but they are far from offensive weapons. Jason Richardson and Gerald Wallace are athletic wing players but not great shooters. This leaves the team with a quandary. They tried to answer that quandary with D.J. Augustin. Augustin is point guard who can drive and shoot. He may be the player that emerges as the starter of by the end of the season. Playoff tickets will only be available in Charlotte if Augustin takes over pulls a Chris Paul. There are other factors that will make themselves apparent as the regular season schedule progresses. Will Matt Carroll find a place on the floor where he can spot and shoot, will Sean May be able to provide the big body off the bench that the Bobcats need, and where does Jared Dudley fit?
