San Francisco Giants

The breeze off the ocean is still pleasant in the fall, just as baseball is still alive. The long season has winded down and only the very best teams are left to compete for a spot in the playoffs and possible tickets to the World Series. About The San Francisco Giants

While the Giants have enjoyed some good times in San Francisco, they do not compare to the run the club had while playing at the Polo Grounds in New York. There, the franchise won all but three of their 20 pennants and won each of their five World Series victories. With most of the playoff tickets coming in the first half of the 1900s, some fans are sure to long for the days of Willie Mays, Mel Ott, and Casey Stengel.

The team won its first World Series in 1905 over the Philadelphia Athletics in five games, it second in 1921 against the New York Yankees in eight games, its third in 1922 against the Yankees again, its fourth in 1933 against the Washington Senators, and its last in 1945 against the Cleveland Indians. The move to the San Francisco may have given the Giants much less competition in its own city, but it has also started a World Series drought that has lasted over 50 years.

The modern Giants need Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain to find a third and fourth pitcher to help keep the runners at bay because Giants fans are not buying tickets to see the offense. The bats are not awful. They just do not seem to be working together. Randy Winn, Fred Lewis, Bengie Molina, and Aaron Rowand are the keys to the offense, but their lack of power of any kind has left the pitchers without much run support. For the team to go far in the playoffs those players need to hit a collective hot streak and play small ball.

The Ticket Specialists will have playoff tickets for the San Francisco Giants, small ball or not. The great seats in the large inventory may come at a small price, but the value is huge for the great views and the chance to see postseason baseball live.
