The Minnesota Twins may seem like a new team that came around it the ‘60s, but the franchise has been playing since 1901 when they were known as the Washington Senators. The first baseball experiment in the nation’s capital, the Senators history can be forgotten pretty easily. Playoff tickets were never very common nor were years where the team was a fierce competitor.

The Senators won three pennants in 60 years and walked away with one World Series title in 1924. The title gave Walter Johnson the championship he deserved and began the glory years that ended with the last American League pennant in 1933. Playoff tickets were always a possibility in that decade of quality baseball, but 27 years later after the team sunk into the cellar and could not find their way out the Senators moved to Minnesota.
As the Twins at the Metrodome the Twins have been able to win its division eight times. The division titles may not have always ended in an American League pennant, but the fans appreciated the chance to root with playoff tickets. Twice the playoff runs went all the way to the World Series. In 1987 the Twins beat the Detroit Tigers before defeating the St. Louis Cardinals for Minnesota’s first World Series title. Four years later the Twins returned with Kirby Puckett and Jack Morris to beat the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS and win a highly-competitive seven game series with the Atlanta Braves.
The latest playoff team for the Twins relies on the timely hitting of Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. Far from a power hitting team, the Twins rely on small ball with the occasional long drive by Morneau and Kubel. The pitching is not Cy Young caliber but it is solid with a tremendous bullpen and starters like Kevin Slowey, Scott Baker, and Nick Blackburn.
The Ticket Specialists has the playoff tickets that every Minnesota fans wants for the Metrodome and the road games on the schedule.
