His music defies the prevalent label and bends genres. His scintillating creation move between, acoustic folk, slide blues, grooving rock, and soulful and rhythmic pop with grace and equipoise. All these incredible qualities blend to create the uniqueness that is better known as his sound.
As being a remarkable innovator that he is, Willy issued his hugely anticipated album "Trees Have Souls" in 1990; this was released without collaborating with any label. The album acclaimed reasonable commercial and critical success. This was followed by "Dog-Eared Dream" in 1994. After this Willy embarked on an exhaustive tour. With the help of Adult Alternative Radio and consistent touring, Willy earned an ardent and dedicated cult following. This success was also supported by another modest hit with "Angry Words."
After this success, Willy was showered with various offers and he signed with Private Music, with them he re-released "Dog-Earned Dream" in 1995. Willy also did some opening slots for the Rickie Lee Jones, Cranberries, Tori Amos, Vonda Shepard and Tori Amos. Event after scaling such career heights, his career went through a slump period and he became disillusioned with the major-label scene. He spent his next few years working on the net. In 1999, he returned with "Falling Forward," a consummate album which reflected his ever-deepening strength as a songwriter and an artist; followed by his self titled album in 2002, featuring guests Charlie
Drayton (Keith Richards, B52's, Don Henley), Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Seal), and Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). Come and experience his music with many layers as he is performing live.
