"Westlife" the popular boy band is keeping the tradition going. This Irish band is a new addition to the likes of Boyzone and Take That. The original line up of this boy band comprised of Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Bryan McFadden, Mark Feehily, and Kian Egan. Well, Egan, Feehilyh, and Filan were among the six other founding members of the band. The other part of the band disbanded when Louis Walsh began taking interest in them.

Well, Louis started out as the manager of hugely successful band Boyzone. So, by the time the band also added McFadden and Byrne. Soon, Walsh introduced the band to Boyzone's hugely popular and world wide renowned solo artist Ronan Keating. Ronan heartily agreed to become the co-manager of Westlife. Soon, the band hit the studio to record their debut album. They stormed the music stores with their very first single, "Flying without Wings," which was issued in 1999.
This single instantly peaked at number one slot in the U.K. charts. Though this couldn't stay there for long as soon it was replaced by their next releases like, "Seasons in the Sun" and "Swear It Again" which were issued in 2000. Band issued their self titled debut album, "Westlife" in 1999, which was followed by "Coast To Coast" in 2000 and "World of Our Own" in 2001.
Westlife's debut album went platinum in their native land. In 2000, this album was reissued by Arista Records in US. In 2004, the band issued "Turnaround" which was followed by "When You Tell Me That Yo" in 2005 and "You Raise Me Up" in 2006.
