The country star is back after fighting for his artistic freedom with his record label, Curb Records. He has finally earned it and is set to release his final album on January 17, 2012. Emotional Traffic had been done since late 2010 and Tim McGraw even went out on the Emotional Traffic tour in 2011 thinking that the album would be released that year. Well, court battles ensued and now the country singer has his freedom and McGraw still wants to give fans a tour. He and Chesney, a perennial summer tour figure, decided to reunite on stage for a series of major concerts.
The album is his 11th with the record label. Curb Records initially signed Tim McGraw back in 1990 at the behest of his father, former major league relief pitcher Tug McGraw. Tim and Tug had not always been close. Tim did not realize Tug was his father until he was a teenager. Tug initially denied the relation, but came to accept the claim after seeing pictures of Tim as he turned 18. The reconciliation and the album contract proved beneficial emotionally and financially for Tim McGraw.
McGraw released seven consecutive multi-platinum albums from 1994 to 2004. This was a decade of hits included “Don’t Take the Girl”, “It’s Your Love”, and “Live Like You Were Dying”. These platinum tracks were among 20 number one singles released in the same time span. He also married country super hottie Faith Hill. Since then, Tim has witnessed a slight wane in his album sales, but his fans remain loyal concert goers, purchasing Tim McGraw concert tickets.
In the second decade of the 21st century, McGraw has released a new studio album and a new compilation album. We here at the TicketSpecialists have the Tim McGraw tickets to enjoy the 2012 tour, as he joins Kenny Chesney on the road.
Tim McGraw has recently announced the tour dates for his Tim McGraw ’08 Live Your Voice Tour. The concerts will begin on May 9 in Tampa, Florida and end on July 6 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The opening acts will be Jason Aldean and Halfway to Hazard.
McGraw will also be promoting new acts from his own label, Style Sonic, which will include Lance Miller and Catherine Raney. Rock the Vote has been invited along to register voters along the way.
The tour will be Tim McGraw’s first solo tour in two years after traveling with his wife, Faith Hill, for the Soul2Soul II Tour that began in 2006.
