The Fray

The Fray is an internationally-recognized piano rock band from Denver, Colorado that first formed in 2002. Their popular single "How to Save a Life" was a hit in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and made the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Their debut Album, How to Save a Life, sold over 2 million copies, and was the best selling digital album of all time. The Fray was certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and reached the top fifteen of the Billboard 200 album charts. Tickets for live shows of The Fray can be bought from Ticket Specialists at low prices for premium seats. The Fray consists of four members: lead vocalist and pianist Isaac Slade, guitarist Dave Welsh, vocals and guitar by Joe King and drums by Ben Wysocki. Though the group has no permanent bassist, The Fray has toured lately with Jimmy Stofer on bass. The group has been influenced a lot by other bands such as Counting Crows, Better Than Ezra and U2. It was 2002 when Isaac Slade and Joe King had a chance encounter at a local Guitar Center. They started getting together for jam sessions and wound up writing songs. Later two more members were introduced into the lineup: Zach Johnson and Slade’s brother Caleb. Johnson soon departed from the group and his place was taken by Wysocki on drums, and Caleb quit the band just as guitarist Welsh was inducted. >> More alt
