Todd, Clark and Joel grew up together as friends. The threesome used to skateboard and play together. But Todd developed a knee problem because of which they shifted their hobby to making music. The threesome formed the band and signed a deal with Saddle Creek Records. They released few singles but were not popular. The trio was not able to garner good sales for their work but they were immensely popular in the Omaha area. Later Matt Bowen joined the band and they came out with “Media” in the year 1998 which won them some more fans and established them within a small, national community of fans.

The group went on a tour and meanwhile Bowen left the group and Jacob Thiele replaced him as the keyboardist. With the inclusion of Jacob, the group released their next album “Blank-Wave Arcade,” in the year 1999. It was a peppier and foot-tapping album that was a huge hit. While working on their next album “Danse Macabre,” another member was added named Dapose. He was a death metal guitarist and was a former member of the band “LEAD” The album was released in the year 2001 and was a critically acclaimed work. Their work was an instant hit with music lovers and proved to a success commercially. The band's fan base only grew bigger and popular. In the year 2004 the group's next album “Wet from Birth” was released.

The latest work released by the group is “Fasciinatiion” which came out on 5th August of the year 2008. It came out under the record label blank.wav. In the group's ten-year history, this album is the first time where the band has recorded, written; art directed, produced and released an album on their merit. “The Geeks Were Right” is the first number of the album and it was made available on iTunes Store in July of the year 2008.
